We’re excited to introduce “My First Derby”, a welcoming and encouraging introduction to the hunter derby format, running on the same day as the Greenhawk Burlington Hunter Derby Day.
Designed for riders new to derby competition, this class offers a supportive atmosphere with professional presentation and live scoring.
Class Details
- Start Time: 10:00 AM
- Height: 2' (with 2'3" option)
- Format:
- One round derby in the outdoor ring (no jumps on grass)
- Live scoring
- Each entry receives one schooling round plus one derby round
- Posted order will be emailed prior to the event
- Riders will go in groups of up to four, organized by trainer
- Prizes:
- Neck ribbons awarded to 8th place sponsored by Greenhawk Burlington
- Champion and Reserve Champion prizes
- Victory Trot for the top 8 entries
- Eligibility: Open to all riders
- Entry Fee: $200 includes entry fee, admin fees and taxes
- Late Fee after 11:59AM June 8th: $25 plus tax
- Payment Due: June 8th to confirm registration
- Payment Method: E‑transfer to info@vectorequestrian.com

- Height: 2'6"/3' (with options 3" higher)
- Format:
- Two round derby on sand and grass
- Live scoring
- Each entry receives one schooling round plus both derby rounds
- Posted order will be emailed prior to the event
- Riders will go in groups of up to four, organized by trainer
- Prizes:
- Neck ribbons and prizes awarded to 10th place
- Prize money: $300, $275, $250, $225, $200
- Champion and Reserve Champion prizes sponsored by Greenhawk Burlington
- Victory Gallop for the top 10 entries
- Eligibility: Open to all riders
- Entry Fee: $200 includes entry fee, admin fees and taxes
